a Hymn to Astarte

# Hymn to Astarte

**Queen of Heaven, Star of Morning**

Astarte, beloved of the ancient lands,
Your light breaks through the eastern sky,
Venus rising in your glorious hands,
As dawn birds sing their sacred cry.

Mother of love and fierce devotion,
You who kindle passion's flame,
Your temple stood beside the ocean,
Where lovers whispered your holy name.

Ishtar's sister, Aphrodite's kin,
You wear the crown of horn and crescent,
In your eyes, both war and love begin,
Your power both gentle and incandescent.

Sacred dove and lion bold,
Your symbols speak of dual nature—
Tender mercy, courage old,
Love that heals and strength that anchors.

In spring's return, we see your face,
In lover's touch, we feel your blessing,
In mother's arms, your warm embrace,
In warrior's heart, your fierce progressing.

Astarte, Queen of Earth and Sky,
We honor you in ritual fire,
Your ancient wisdom will not die,
You lift our spirits ever higher.

By moon and star, by sea and land,
We call upon your sacred power,
Guide us with your gentle hand,
Bless us in this sacred hour.

So mote it be, in love and light,
Your children gather, proud and free,
Astarte, goddess burning bright,
We honor you eternally.
Blessed Be
